I can review the diagnostic report for you and explain what some of the terminology being used identifies in “lay terms,” but since I am not a diagnostician, I cannot explain the details of how the assessment was completed which indicates the diagnostic outcome.

Yes! My experience and training in behavior analysis is not narrowed to the autism population in isolation. The behavior analytic concepts used during play-based learning and all of ABA work with anyone (animals, too!). And, next steps upon receiving an autism diagnosis are still relevant with comorbid diagnoses.

Alamae is designed to support families who just received an autism diagnosis and want more information about next steps fast. You don’t need to wait for insurance approvals, wait lists to move, or BCBA schedules to open up. You want to know all of your options, and you want to know them now. So, all you have to do is schedule your free initial consultation using my “book your free consultation” tab on the website.
Also, at Alamae I am not providing ABA services, your consultations with me do not replace the need to move forward with services through your identified providers.

During a play-based consultation, we create a custom (virtual) play kit together. I learn about you and your child, what materials and toys you may already have, in conjunction with their play skills, and show you various options of developmentally appropriate items to purchase to create a “kit”. We build the kit online, and you purchase items on your end during (or after) our call.

I am a mom of 3 and a BCBA. I am also a realist. I am not here to tell you to change how you interact with your child, or to pressure you to buy or do anything against your values. I am here to support you and give you options for creating a learning environment that helps you and your family strive and reach your goals.
I know that your child is your whole world. I am just here to be a part of it.

I wanted to create a name that helped represent my purpose for starting a consulting business. As a parent, my greatest and most fulfilling purpose lies in being momma to my three littles — Alfred, Amelia, and Maeve. Put those three names together and .. voila, Alamae!
